For me, I will always take the minimalist route and heavily apply the Pareto principle ( or 80/20 rule)

For my blog, I only put widgets that have value added factor in them.

Sometimes, I do wonder why people have to stuff in a lot of widgets which sometimes brings no value to the blog.

It will not only make the loading time to be higher, it will distract the readers’ attention.

I will only put something that people need and something that I want people to know/do but at the minimum level.

Hi Harsh,

but does Google friend connect bring visits? There are a lot of social widgets out there but i would avoid to fill my pages with unuseful stuff.

I am thinkg to cut out also the MyBloglog widget…

Hey useful info.. I used to usemybloglog but realize it is taking lots of space…another one which I’m using Google friend connect but still wondering whats the benefit of using it..but I have more then 300 member there..So wondering should I remove it or not…
